Accountable to create, implement, and maintain a proactive and aggressive media relations and communications strategy to advance the mission of Hillsdale College nationwide, foster allies, and secure and preserve its independence. This role includes working as a member of the communications and media relations staff to proactively pitch Hillsdale professors.
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty mentioned satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Education & Experience
This position requires a Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of experience in journalism in a writing-focused position or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to demonstrate the ability to perform the job.
Physical Requirements
Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively. Ability to operate basic office equipment, a photocopier, fax machine, computer equipment, and the like.
