The Institutional Advancement Associate, West Coast identifies contacts, meets, and develops relationships with major donors in California, Nevada and Arizona. The incumbent of this position is responsible for developing and managing a portfolio of major gift donors and potential donors.

Education and Experience
This position requires a Bachelor’s Degree; or a combination of education, training or experience, which fulfills the needs of the College. Two years of experience in fundraising is preferred.

Possess excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions 4. Ability to express ideas effectively. 5. Ability to keep calm and remain personable under pressure. 6. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.7. Possess excellent organizational skills. 8. Ability to maintain confidentiality. 9. Ability to listen and accurately record details following a meeting. 10. Ability to travel, about 40%, for meetings and events in the territory and to the Hillsdale College campus.
The Institutional Advancement Associate interacts with College donors and the entire Hillsdale audience.
